Parañaque secures 200K AstraZeneca shots for residents
MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Parañaque on Wednesday said it has signed a deal with UK pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca for the purchase of 200,000 vaccine doses to be given to its residents for free.

MANILA, Philippines — The local governments of Parañaque and Muntinlupa have earmarked funding for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines this year.
The Parañaque government has reserved P250 million in its 2021 budget while Muntinlupa set aside P170 million for vaccines that will be approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

We would like to announce that this January 2021 we will continue the Implementation of City Ordinance 18-40 “Banning of Single-Use Plastics”. Implementation of the said ordinance was postponed this year 2020 because of the COVID -19 outbreak.

Despite the resolute effort of government in stamping out this threat and the continued decrease in active cases, Parañaque City would like to appeal to each and every Parañaqueños sense of civic duty and discipline in following and respecting existing health protocols and restrictions being implemented within the city and its public spaces.
To further address the threat of COVID19 Pandemic, the City Government of Parañaque, led by the Local Task Force against COVID19 shall be implementing the following guidelines in line with the upcoming All Saints and All Souls Day 2020:
- Schedule of controlled visits to Cemeteries and Memorial Parks
- Seven-day closure of all Cemeteries and Memorial Parks
- Local Government and Memorial Park Operations
We reiterate that these controlled nature of visitations to our departed love-ones are only temporary and by no means a curtailment of any rights. Moreover, these were put in place to safeguard general public health and safety as well as for the immediate and steadfast resolution of the current health crisis.
